Germany will have a record growth of 1.6GW of small PV systems (less than 15kW) installed in 2021.
According to industry forecasts, Germany will install 1.8GW of small photovoltaic systems in 2022. Small-scale PV systems of 10kW to 15kW are expected to grow significantly in 2022, while the growth of small-scale PV systems of 5kW to 10kW is likely to stagnate.
As in previous years, the German small PV market continues to increase in relevance in 2022. In 2021, the share of photovoltaic systems with an installed capacity of 15kW installed in Germany reached 30% of the small photovoltaic market, and the share is expected to increase to 36% by 2022.
